Do you have dreams? In the today study we are going to know a very special man, a dreamer, who was used by God to carry out a specific plan in the Land. Jacó, which had his name changed for Israel after a meeting with God, had twelve children with his two wives, Lia and Raquel, and his serfs Bila and Zilpa. Jacó had a son whom he was loving more than others: José (Gn. 37:3). José's brothers, seeing that the father was loving it more than to others, they were envying it and were hating it. When did José tell them the dreams that it had, in which bundles were going round it and were leaning before him, and other in which the sun, the moon and eleven stars were leaning before him, his brothers started to hate it still more. Israel gave to José a very special present: a tunic of several colors. This gesture did so that the jealousy and the envy were every time bigger in the heart of his brothers. José's brothers intended to kill it, playing it inside a well and taking the tunic from him. Then they sold it to a caravan of ismaelitas, what took it to Egypt. In Egypt, José was taken to work at the home of Potifar, Pharaoh's official. There, it became prosperous, so the Sir was with him (Gn. 39). The wife of Potifar began to try it, wanting to have a relationship with him. But José was loyal to his Sir and one did not let win for the temptation. With rage and feeling rejected, the woman told to his husband that José there was he disregarded. Potifar, while hearing his woman, ordered to launch José in the prison. Even in the jail, the Sir was with José, spreading out on him his benevolence, granting grace to him to the eyes of a jailer, who handed in his hands over all the prisoners who there were. See which interesting thing: in Genesis 39:23b we read:" … because the Sir was with him, when prospering everything what he was undertaking ". For what? Because of his loyalty. José, the dreamer, still in the prison, interpreted the dreams of two prisoners. After it was set free, it interpreted the Pharaoh's dreams, in which there was the foresight of seven years of abundance and seven years of hunger. Pharaoh established to José since governor on Egypt. In 7 years of abundance, José joined all the possible provision. When the whole land of Egypt began to be hungry, the people tried to José to buy wheat. The hunger was spread on the ground and reached the land of Israel and to his children. So, the children of Israel were up to José that it recognized them, but it was held like stranger for with them, giving they the necessary provision. When they returned to José for the second time, this one was revealed his brothers, forgiving them for the evil that they did to him and sent to Israel, his father, and the whole his family. Israel and his family lived in the land of Egypt and there they acquired prosperity, were profitable and multiplied very much. God is marvelous!!! He allowed that José was suffering all the difficult situations that we saw with a purpose: to prepare José so that it was the leak so that your people, the people that He was lifting for Himself, did not starve. Pay well attention in a thing:
